SPEAKER

Emma Partridge

I began teaching as a Design and Technology Teacher. I've always loved working with computers and started teaching ICT 10 years ago. I moved back home to the Yorkshire Dales, 9 years ago, to work at Settle Technology College. I have been their Computing Head of Department for 3 years. I started teaching Computing in July 2012 and I love it! I strongly believe that Computer Science is exciting and fascinating and I want to help students and teachers to feel the same way. I like to create or find interesting ways to deliver computing topics whilst still building on their ICT and digital literacy skills. I also run the Craven Hub; we have already shared so many fantastic ideas and I am really looking forwards to keeping this up in the coming years. When I have not got my teaching hat on, I like to spend time with my husband and 2 sons doing geocaching, walking, swimming or baking. My hobbies include DIY, reading and Capoeira.

All materials and resources used on this course will be made available to all delegates after the course.
