Event description

Description

On Saturday December 2nd The Oxford Piano Group is hosting its very first PianoFest.

PianoFest 2017 is a celebration of the piano! Our goal is to play the piano for 12 hours non-stop so that the sound of the piano never fully dies away!

Through our music-making we are raising money for two charities: The Matrix Music School and Arts Centre and The Voices Foundation. Both charities focus on delivering high quality music education to children through inspirational and motivating programmes.

There are five ways you can get involved

  1. If you are a pianist you can come along and play informally at any time.

  2. Pianists can also book a space in advance to perform at our Coffee Concert (11am) and Tea Party (4pm) . You can book your space below.

  3. Come and listen! If you live in and around the Oxfordshire area please do feel free to drop in during the day, listen to the music, have a coffee/tea and join in the pianistic celebration. There's no charge but all donations are welcome.

  4. Come to the evening recital given by members of The Oxford Piano Group. There are no tickets but a suggested £10 donation can be made on the door.

  5. If you are not local but would like to support the PianoFest and its charities please visit our JustGiving page.

If you are a piano teacher and would like to book a slot for a number of your pupils please email us on oxfordpianofest@gmail.com.

We will be going live on our Facebook Page lots during the day so make sure you have 'liked' us to keep up-to-date.

It's going to be such fun and we hope to see you there!
