We are opening Hydons Flower Farm based near Milford for PYO on Friday mornings.

Please come and join us to find out more about what we do, pat a goat and of course pick some beautiful blooms to take home to enjoy from our flower farm.

We are a community interest company supporting local charities with social therapeutic horticulture and all proceeds go to support the project. www.hydonsflowers.com

The farm is full of flowers and we have several picking areas from our main flower field, the perennial bed and our new extended PYO area. The flowers vary from time to time but there will always be something beautiful for you to pick.

For some varieties we might limit the number of stems you can pick to ensure there are enough for everyone that's booked a space.

Parking and Arrival:

Please use the postcode GU8 4DD. Follow the directions until you reach ‘The Hydon’s’; then take an immediate right. Continue along the single track until the end (you’ll see Hares Grove in front of you). Turn right through the farm gates, follow the path to the end, and you’ll have arrived! For additional guidance, feel free to check out this helpful YouTube video (https://youtu.be/ckGexcbC5dc).

What to Bring:

We supply tools for picking flowers, gloves are useful but not essential.

Don’t forget to bring something watertight to carry your beautiful flowers home in.

Check-In and Orientation:

Once you arrive at the barn, check-in with one of our team members, pick your size of bucket which you will be charged for on exit

To help us make your visit as enjoyable as possible, we’d love to know a little more about your group. Could you please let us know who to expect, and which of the following Pick Your Own (PYO) options you’re interested in:

Children’s Jam Jar – £10 A sweet little handful, perfect for smaller pickers!

Green Bucket – £35 Holds 30–40 stems — enough to fill a couple of vases.

Black Bucket – £45 A large, full bucket for serious flower lovers!

Please also bring something to take your flowers home in — or you can purchase a bucket from us on the day for £2

As part of your visit, we’re delighted to offer you a complimentary tea or coffee.

You’ll receive a short talk about what we have and how to pick before heading out to pick your flowers.

Our friendly volunteers will be available to answer any questions and assist you during your visit.

Enjoy and Stay Safe:

Please remember, this is a working farm, and you are visiting at your own risk

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times

The ground is uneven in places and has irrigation pipes, so please take care while walking. Customers are advised to wear appropriate footwear.

Customers are reminded that snips provided are sharp and should be carried with care when moving around the field.

Be tick-aware, as deer frequently visit the fields. It’s a good idea to check yourself for ticks after your visit.

Please do not feed the animals and be careful of your hair/clothes/etc especially around the goats! 😊

WC is available on site.

If the weather is deemed too wet to open then we will work with you to find a new date

Payment of the booking fee is deemed as acceptance of the above Safety and Picking

terms.

We look forward to seeing you and hope you have a fantastic experience at our flower farm.

Frequently asked questions

If I can't make it anymore what can I do?

Unfortunately we won't be offering refunds on the booking fee but you can transfer your ticket to a different date or donate the booking fee to our CIC, please contact us via email and we will help with this.

It says 9:30-11:30 do I need to be there the whole time?

No, we recommend allowing about 1 hour to pick and enjoy our space. If the weather is hot then it's better to come earlier in our opening window. We close the farm at noon so please allow enough time to fill your buckets.
