Frequently asked questions
The convention is on the ground floor of the hotel which has step free access. We have microphones for the convention and will produce a large print programme.
Yes, but we can't guarantee real ale.
The hotel is in the centre of town. It currently offers "two meals for a tenner". There are cafes on the same road, and in the roads just off, including the lovely cafe in the museum. Tesco's is a few doors down. Subway is 0.2 miles away
There are trains to Perth from Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. From the station it is a 0.5 miles/13 minute walk or 4 minute taxi ride. There are also buses. If you have a mobility need and would appreciate a ride, we can arrange it.
The three big hotels are the Salutation, the George and the Premier Inn. The Salutation is offering 15% off if you mention our name when booking. At the other end of town is the Mercure. There are a large number of B&Bs: look for Pitcullen Crescent on the Map for B&Bs just over the river.
PictCon1 is intended to be a safe place for all the diverse people in our community. Harrassment of any kind will lead to expulsion. Our guide is the Eastercon 2026 Code of Conduct: https://eastercon2026.org/about/code-of-conduct
