Description

PICTFOR Member’s Roundtable Event in partnership with the Technology and Data Ethics Inquiry's co-chairs Darren Jones MP and Lee Rowley MP

With fast-evolving ‘Industry 4.0’ technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing relying on data to reach their potential, a debate has started around how data should be used ethically to benefit society. There are many stakeholders involved in this discussion, from parliament and government, to industry and the public.

This is a global challenge, and the UK has the opportunity to seize the agenda and become a world leader in the ethical use of data as a means of innovation in technology and services.

This event will examine the recent Online Harms White Paper and the recommendations of the recently published Data and Technology Ethics Inquiry report into the future of technology and data ethics. It will provide a forum to speak about about ethical issues in the increasingly digital world and potential solutions involving regulation.
