To celebrate the National Portrait Gallery’s Picture the Poet exhibition in Lincoln, Apples and Snakes bring you an evening of words and music featuring innovative comic poet John Hegley, poet and drummer Michelle Mother Hubbard, and previous Poet Laureate for Lincolnshire Joel Stickley.

Plus, performances by local young people who have written work inspired by the exhibition under the guidance of Leicester-based poet Jess Green.

The evening will be enriched by slow core folk music, ambient textures and story songs from Horsedreamer.
