Picture This: What does home mean to you?

About this Event
What does home mean to you?
On Sunday 21st March at 4pm, we will be asking you to answer this question by drawing your version of home - past, present or future. You can use anything to do your drawing of home - pencils, pens, crayons, paint, charcoal - and you can draw on paper, card, canvas, cardboard, an old cereal box, whatever you can find.
Our aim is to set a new world record for the number of people drawing online at the same time. One laptop/phone/tablet counts as one participant (families are welcome to gather round one screen but remember that this will mean you will count as one person for record attempt).
The challenge will be recorded so that it can be sent to Guinness World Records but will not be shared publicly. There is no need to show anyone your drawing or finish it as part of the record attempt - we only need to start our drawings together.
The challenge is free to join with an option to donate to Art Refuge, which provides art therapy for refugees and asylum seekers, and/or Teapot Trust, which supports children and families coping with chronic health conditions through art therapy.
After the challenge, we will be collecting photographs of finished drawings by asking you to email us at home.picturethis@gmail.com but it is totally up to you - there is no need to share what you draw. Art is personal, as is the meaning of home, and we will completely understand if you want to keep your drawing private. For inspiration on what to draw, have a look at our Instagram account @picturethis.home.
See you on Sunday!
