Pilates is a safe form of exercise which focuses on the deep abdominal muscles to support, stabilise and rebalance your body. Charlie’s approach to teaching is a completely inclusive one and believes that every ‘body’ can benefit hugely from the fundamental Pilates principle of reinforcing functional movement through strengthening, stabilizing and rediscovering body awareness.
All classes incorporate a variety of movements leaving the body feeling stretched, toned and strengthened. Charlie believes that people get far more out of their practice if they understand why they are doing what they are doing. To this end, Charlie’s approach to teaching is to apply a functional aspect to each exercise so you can understand how your practice will start to improve day-to-day movements like sitting, walking, biking, playing sport or carrying heavy bags!
