Event description
Macrame Weaving sessions in a Medieval Hall

About this Event

Artist Rachel Carter is creating a new bronze statue The Pilgrim Woman as part of the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower sailing. Come along to the workshops to learn the ancient craft of macrame weaving and make a piece or two to take home and an additional piece that may be used on the new sculpture!

There are a choice of up to four dates and Rachel would love you to come to as many dates as you're able to help you learn the patterns, but understands if you can't make every session.

The workshop will be held in the stunning location of a Medieval Hall, please dress in warm comfortable clothes.

The hall has a great cafe and gift shop and is in easy access to the main centre of the town, and a five minute walk from the train station. Parking available nearby in the council pay and display car park.
