About this Event
PINCER Action Learning Set 2 for East Midlands and West Midlands AHSNs only
The aim of the course is to enable delegates to:
- use quality improvement tools and strategies to support the implementation of the principles of the PINCER intervention
- apply the principles of root cause analysis to determine possible causes of prescribing error focusing on system improvement
- describe the key components of an effective actin plan for PINCER and support a practice with its creation and implementation
- plan and deliver a feedback session with a practice summarising their results and support them to make improvements
Before attending this training session you should already have:
1. Registered with PRIMIS and accepted the Data Processing Agreement
2. Completed the Action Learning Set 1 online (self-directed) learning within the PRIMIS PINCER Resource Centre
3. Engaged with the practice team to discuss plans for PINCER
4. Run the PINCER searches and uploaded summary data to CHART Online
5. printed/saved a summary of the PINCER search results for reference during the live online session
6. read the recommended PINCER publications and undertaken the recommended prior reading for Action Learning Set 2
7. undertaken a preliminary review of potential root causes (any indicator)
