About this event

PinkNews was founded in 2005, with a mission to fundamentally change the way that LGBT+ media operated. After 15 years, they have established ourselves as the world’s most-watched and read LGBT+ publication, reaching up to 50 million people each month. They stand for the fundamental rights of the entire LGBT+ community and its allies. Their mission is to inform, inspire change and empower people to be themselves. Three professionals from the PinkNews team will joining us at Imperial to talk about their role and the company culture: Alex Ehmcke (Operations and People Director) Robert Greene (Head of Production) and Ana Nanu (Programme Executive).

Speakers:

Alex Ehmcke, Operations and People Director

Alex is Director of Operations and People at PinkNews. He is passionate about LGBT+ inclusion and mental health wellbeing, and loves spending time with his Yorkshire Terrier, Winnie.

Robert Greene, Head of Production

Robert Greene is Head of Production at PinkNews. He manages a team of producers and editors who produce video content for PinkNews social media platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. This content is viewed by up to 35 million unique users per month.

Ana Nanu, Programme Executive

Ana is Programme Executive at PinkNews, the world's most-read LGBT+ publisher. She joined in January 2019, and is responsible for overseeing the entire six-figure events portfolio at PinkNews. She also manages research outputs, as well as multiple clients (including several FTSE 100 firms). Prior to PinkNews, Ana completed a research degree in Philosophy at King's College London, where she specialized in metaphysics and ethics.
