Event description

Description

The Clitheroe Pinnacle Project was conceived by the Clitheroe Civic Society to repair and consolidate a stone pinnacle that had originally formed part of the Houses of Parliament.

The Pinnacle was bought by Sir William Brass, Member of Parliament for Clitheroe, and presented to the town on the occasion of George VI Coronation in 1937. It has stood in the castle grounds ever since.

The Exhibition charts the history of the structure from construction to arrival in Clitheroe whilst also providing a fascinating insight into the detailed conservation work recently undertaken.

This event is free, no ticket required.
