Wednesday 18th May 2022 - Afternoon workshop 2-5pm at Shieldfield Art Works.
Pioneer practice is about seeing possibility, dreams, ideas of how things could be better or new or different. And then making something happen out of that seeing. The afternoon workshop will be practically focused with a mix of stories, exercises, poetry, songs, conversation, inspiration and encouragement. It’s for you if you are interested in pioneering or in encouraging others who are. If you are new it will be an opportunity to reflect on how to get started and explore your God given ideas. If you have been pioneering a while it will give you some encouragement and practical wisdom for the journey you are already on. And if you are in a team do come along together. There is such value in connecting with others in the area interested in pioneering.
Jonny Baker has spent his life pioneering, training and enabling others to pioneer. He set up the pioneer training at CMS which has catalysed all sorts of wonderful pioneering initiatives. During lockdown he wrote the full colour book Pioneer Practice book and is looking forward to the tour to share some of the ideas and stories from that and reconnect with pioneers round the country. Gavin Mart sings, tells stories and produces creative multimedia about pioneering communities he has visited and set up over the years, encapsulating experiences in song, poetry and spoken word.
