PiP invites you to join us during 2021 for a range of events to inform, inspire and celebrate adults with learning disabilities and autism.

By attending our events, you will:

- Interact with adults with learning disabilities and hear from them in their own words

- Have opportunities to advocate for inclusion in your workplace

- Learn more about PiP and how we support our students to pursue their own independence, whatever that means for them.

Events coming up are:

7th May 1-2pm - Introduction to Makaton - learn alongside and be taught by our students. Makaton is a form of sign language which enables people with learning disabilities to communicate. This session will include Makaton basics for those new to sign language.

28th May 1-2pm - Celebrating National walking Month with Makaton

A chance to learn alongside our students and celebrate all things walking as we learn signs about the great outdoors.

- Disability awareness day webinars or training

- Fruitful@Home - a live juice along taught by our students

- Bespoke workshops such as makaton or art to learn alongside our students

Thursday January 28th: 1pm-2pm Fruitful @ Home (ticketed event)

Join our Fruitful Trainees to learn about juice and smoothies at home. Fruitful is our social enterprise juice pop up stall where our students learn employability skills such as food hygiene, customer service, managing money and marketing. Whilst we can't be popping up and about we have taken Fruitful online for a unique virtual experience. Tickets are £25 donation per person to include a Fruitful goodie bag and resources. Thursday February 4th: 11am-12pm Time to Talk Day

Join PiP staff and students to discuss mental health and how we support students to learn to manage their emotions and mental wellbeing.

Friday February 12th: 1pm -2pm Smoochy Makaton!

Back by popular demand. A chance to learn Makaton, a form of sign language, alongside our students. Let us know what words you'd like to learn.
