Overview

An easy to follow, practical workshop on PIP, with real-life examples, group activities & guided support in a neurodivergent friendly space.

Join our friendly, easy to follow and practical 2 hour interactive workshop.

This is for neurodivergent adults living or working in Wokingham (parents, carers or professionals who are helping adults to apply, are also welcome to attend).

(Those living outside of Wokigham Borough are able to purchase an affordable ticket instead, but there are limited numbers).

We will be learning all about PIP in this hands-on session, with activity-based learning and the opportunity to start your own PIP form questions with our guidance, together with plenty of time for your questions!

(PIP stands for Personal Independence Payments - it's a benefit for adults living with a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability).

This workshop is led by trainers who have been using these tools to support people in their personal and work lives and have a background working with finance and supporting people with money & benefits.

We regularly attend training refreshers, including with DWP directly and would love to pass on some useful information to you too!

Our trainers, just like our charity, are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment with neuro-affirming workshops for everyone.

Some quotes from past attendees:

"the trainer was so nice and personable and it was great that there was no judgement"

"a very informative course, thank you"

"we are lucky to have had this resource for free!"

We'll cover:

  • An overview of PIP eligibility
  • Does your 'everyday normal' shows support needs you didn't realise
  • Guidance on completing your PIP form & gathering evidence
  • Assessment preparation and self-care strategies
  • Top tips, myths and common pitfalls
  • Begin 1–2 answers so you leave with a starting point, not a blank form
