About this Event

EVENT POSTPONED TO TUESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. SAME TIME AND SAME VENUE.

ALL EXISITNG BOOKINGS HAVE BEEN TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW DATE, JUST MESSAGE IF YOU WOULD LIKE A REFUND.

A story and drama workshop for home educated children aged 3-8.

An exciting and creative hour of dressing up, creating and enacting your own new Pirate Story, sea shanties to sing and dance along to, and interactive story-telling.

Our Story sessions are great fun of course, but also so much more...

Story making is great for building confidence and self esteem, developing team work and cooperation, encouraging imaginative play and creativity, and practicing speaking and listening skills.

We hope you’ll have great fun in the workshop, and also get creatively inspired and go home with lots of ideas for new projects – from artwork or story writing or poetry, to making up sea shanties and dances.

“The children were motivated and inspired and had so much fun. They got involved and laughed lots. Thank you”

“The children are still talking about it and it has influenced their role play and storytelling in class”

“Although we read stories to the children all the time, Story Box is so much more”

Age guide: 3-8yrs.

THE VENUE

Public transport - the hall is about a minutes walk from the bus-stop on Christchurch Rd (corner of Exton Rd). We are using the upstairs hall at the church. There is one flight of stairs to the hall, and no lift. We are really sorry if this makes it difficult for you to attend. There is a safe place to leave pushchairs downstairs, and we can help you lift them up if you prefer. There is a big car-park for your use.

TREEHOUSE THEATRE CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

Treehouse Theatre provide drama and entertainment but not childcare. As such, children must have a designated adult responsible for them who stays on site (or very nearby) for the workshop. All Treehouse Theatre actors are DBS checked.
