Event description

Description

At the DBA we know there are many different ways to approach pitching (or not, as the case may be). From chemistry meetings and discussions, to credentials and strategy presentations, right through to full creative pitches, pitching covers a huge amount of activities. This workshop's for you if you decide to pitch and want to improve your chances of winning.

Up to the Light’s founder, DBA Expert Jonathan Kirk, will explore how you can increase your chances of success through understanding the client’s motivation and expectations, developing your own processes and structuring the right argument.

Up to the Light’s research has found that 99% of clients believe that a pitch is good business practice for high value projects. Being excellent at pitching, therefore, has become vital to agency growth and success.

The workshop covers:

  • How pitching and client expectations are changing.
  • How to pitch in 10 key stages.
  • The client’s perspective – drawing up the shortlist, pitch processes and evaluation, what clients look for, where pitches succeed and fail (feedback from post-pitch client interviews).
  • Getting your internal pitch process right.
  • Structuring your argument, ways to raise audience engagement.

You’ll gain:

  • A fresh perspective on how to approach your next pitch
  • Knowledge to take back to your business to improve your processes
  • Increased confidence to tackle your future client pitch requests and win more new business
  • Winning practical tips and techniques.

You’ll leave refreshed and energised, ready to take on your next pitch head on and succeed.

You can find more details Up to the Light’s research into client perspectives here.

  • "A beneficial and worthwhile afternoon that will impact our business development." Owen Turner, Owner/Creative Director, United by Design
  • "Opened my eyes to the areas we oversee on a day-to-day basis that would give insight & build relationships with our clients." Sophie Harris, Account Manager, Elmwood
