Description

THIS EVENT IS FOR TECHHUB MEMBERS ONLY

Join us for this lunchtime workshop perfect for anyone looking to perfect their pitch, brought to you by Steve Morris from Amplify.

Amplify began in 2011 with a belief that if you unlocked people’s voices you would unlock their story and their businesses would thrive. To date, Amplify have coached over 9000 people, having Microsoft, Google, SAP, Salesforce, We Work, PWC, KPMG, Dow Jones, Hitachi, o2, BASF, Barclays and Virgin amongst their clients.

Amplify have helped 500 Startups to raise over a 1.5 billion dollars in Seed funding and Series A, and work with Senior Executives to help them unlock their personal brand. They live, love and bleed story (and Flat Whites)!

Steve has spent the last five years living and breathing Capetown, working on the CEO team of the Sozo Foundation - a charity set up in the heart of a township with its sole purpose to raise young people out of poverty through life-changing education.

Steve was responsible for founding and fundraising for a youth cafe, an artisan bakery and the actual foundation itself. He knows the power of a story, and in his own words “He/She who tells the best story wins”. When we knew his time was up in South Africa we jumped on the opportunity to bring him on board.

Before moving back to the UK in 2020 He coached for RLabs, a startup incubator in Capetown, Rainmaking Innovation, Copenhagen and Resurgo Ventures, London. Steve has also coached for UCL and Southbank University.

Steve is the founder of “Blue Jeans Brown Shoes”, a company that coaches individuals and teams to thrive in their leadership and transform their culture. Blue Jeans Brown Shoes is a preferred partner of Heartstyles – a tool that gives teams and individuals the hard data on how they behave. We like to call this “The Science behind the story”. Steve brings a humility and teachability to everything he does, is relentless at getting people’s story out of them, is a lover of good coffee, a husband and father and staunch Arsenal fan.
