Wasafiri is excited to announce an in-person translation workshop tutored by our 2025 Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize Fiction judge Anton Hur.

How does a translation project find a publishing house? Translator and writer Anton Hur describes the pitching process behind bringing a translated book to the attention of Anglophone publishers and discusses various issues surrounding the profession of literary translation.

Anton Hur is a translator and author working in Seoul. He is the author of Toward Eternity (HarperVia) and No One Told Me Not To (Across Books). He was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and raised in British Hong Kong, Ethiopia, and Thailand, but mostly in Korea.
