Event description

Description

Join Teach First Monday 19th of March for pizza and to learn about our Undergraduate programmes including our award winning paid internship - the Insight programme. Get some useful tips and advice about the application process, whilst hearing from students who have completed the programmes, and can give you a real insight into the programmes and answer your questions.

Our inspirational Taster Programme, designed for undergraduates in their early years of study, will give you a glimpse of the work we're doing to end educational inequality.

Over the course of two days, you'll attend skills-based workshops, meet pupils from the schools we work with and network with our partners and recruitment team.

It's an excellent opportunity to develop your employability, and learn more about our Leadership Development Programme.

Our Insight Programme is a paid, two-week internship where you'll receive training sessions on leadership and teaching theory, and get a chance to step into the classroom and deliver your own lessons at one of our partner schools. On the last day of Insight, you’ll take part in a reduced assessment for our Leadership Development Programme, the Teach First graduate programme ranked 4th in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers. Our graduate programme includes world-class training and development opportunities and offers exclusive opportunities or “summer projects” with the likes of its 80+ partners such as PwC, Google, Barclays and the Civil Service.

This award-winning internship is designed for students in their penultimate year at university with a science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) background - at degree or A Level. Please note, you must currently be studying in your penultimate year with a STEM background and be eligible for our Leadership Development Programme. Please visit the Teach First website for more details.

You will also have the opportunity to discover how you can make a difference and gain key transferable skills by becoming a Teach First Brand Manager –a paid, part-time role at your university.
