How do we create thriving, socially active, successful communitites where people have a positive sense of belonging?

Community First Oxfordshire are bringing together communities, Local Authorities, Developers and Voluntary Community Sector groups to discuss how we can create thriving new communities alongside exisiting ones.

Key Note Speaker:  Lord Matthew Taylor, former chair of the National Housing Federation and the Rural Coalition, author of the seminal Taylor Review of Rural Economy and Affordable Housing.

Other speakers include:

Tom McCulloch, Community First Oxfordshire Director of Community Development, who recently led on research studies into best practice in community development on new housing developments;

Paul Silver, CEO of Dorchester Living, which has an exemplary approach to community engagement in major development locations such as Upper Heyford;

Martin Gorick, Archdeacon of Oxford and chair of the New Communities Group

Alex Hollingsworth, councillor at Oxford City Council and Executive Board Member for Planning and Regulatory Services.


Registration will commence at 12.45pm, with the conference starting at 1:30pm

There is a supermarket next door to the venue should you require lunch prior to the conference.
