- Church leaders who are looking to see a more effective combination of faith and social action in their churches
- Places of Welcome and Warm Welcome Space leaders
- Other church / community project leaders from both rural and urban settings in West and North Yorkshire (in the Diocese of Leeds)
What are we to discuss?
Our communities are under pressure as never before. Levels of isolation and loneliness, increased mental health and wellbeing issues, the impact of addiction, challenges to benefits and to people getting into work, the continuing pressures arising from the cost of living crisis and the change in attitude towards those trying to come to this country are factors amongst others that need addressing.
- How do the church and our community facing projects respond?
- What can we learn from each other to be better at what we offer?
- How can we can better connect faith, social action and discipleship to bring faith, hope and love into the lives of those most impacted?
When is it?
Our next event is will be on Monday 13th October at Church House, 17-19 York Place, Leeds LS1 2EX. Coffee served from 9.30 for 10.00 start, finishing around 12.30 and followed by a light lunch.
