Places of Worship Forum Northern Ireland
Event Information
About this event
The Northern Ireland Places of Worship Forum is an opportunity for places of worship and organisations with an interest in faith heritage to meet, share, explore ideas and plan towards the future over issues common to the buildings of all faith traditions.
This online Forum presents an opportunity to catch up on the latest developments and opportunities in the Treasure Ireland Project and the wider church sector. In this session we will update you on our tourism initiative including the development of heritage trails.
At Treasure Ireland we are here to support you in making your heritage accessible to as wide an audience as possible. We will hear from Access Heritage who have over 20 years of experience in the Heritage, Archaeology and Community sectors. They will present on the latest digital solutions to help showcase your place of worship.
Caroline Maguire, architect with the Historic Environment Division Department for Communities will provide an update on their work protecting, preserving and promoting our heritage.
This is your chance to add to the discussion about places of worship and how to share their heritage.
This Forum meeting will take place ONLINE on Thursday 10th February 2022 from 2.00pm to 3.00pm and will be chaired by Mrs June Butler MBE.
The event is free of charge and anybody involved in historic places of worship in Northern Ireland is welcome to attend. Register your interest today and see how your church might benefit from the Programme in the future.
