PlaNet Talks: Carbon Accounting, Emission Tracking, Sustainability Report
Event Information
About this event
Striving to become a planet positive, regenerative company must include knowing – and measuring – your current impact. If we don`t know our footprint, how can we set meaningful targets and build convincing roadmaps to turn it around?
In this introductory webinar we will learn how to start this journey, and what to look out for along the way. Both companies early in their sustainability efforts (with none or only limited carbon and impact measuring so far), and more sophisticated players are addressed with the event in order to share their experiences with each other. After the event, our project and collaboration platform “the PlaNet” will be open to the participants to continue the exchange and the joint learning journey.
Planetgroups is excited to partner with the consultancies Viacero and GHG Accounting in this event, who have helped numerous companies to find the right metrics, tools and milestones to show true climate leadership with an affordable effort.
The event will feature:
- Andreas Kästner, Viacero – “I want to become sustainable – the first corporate analyses and steps”
- Svend Anderson, GHG Accounting – “How do I get it right” – Important aspects to observe when setting up your Greenhouse Gas Measuring and Reduction Strategy
- Maximillian Reuss, Viega - “How we did it” – perspective of a manufacturer of installation technology for the sanitation and heating sector, how they embarked on their journey to carbon tracking and sustainability.
This discussion will be facilitated by Tim Riedel, Founder and CEO of planetgroups, a non-profit consultancy supporting employee-driven climate action at the workplace. Please find more details about us at https://planetgroups.net
After the speakers, there will be a short Q&A session where you can ask questions and learn about how to join the “PlaNet”, our digital platform dedicated to mutual learning, sharing and benchmarking of corporate sustainability projects across the globe!
