About the speaker:
Mélusine Velde is the Planning and Advocacy Officer at Cheshire Wildlife Trust, where she advocates for wildlife when it is impacted by development. With an academic background in ecology and conservation, she approaches her work with a ‘nature-first’ approach; this includes objecting against damaging planning proposals, consulting with the Local Planning Authority around local plans and policy, and working with developers to encourage wildlife-friendly schemes.
Whether you’re new to planning or a parish councillor with some experience, you'll gain an understanding of how the current planning system helps protect wildlife. If you are further along in your involvement in planning and have any questions, please email planning@cheshirewt.org.uk.
Please note this webinar will be held on Microsoft Teams.
