Planning for Your Retirement - Using your time in retirement
Event Information
About this Event
As people are living longer and with the State Pension age rising to 66 in October 2020, retirement planning has never been more crucial to ensure flexibility, choice and security in later life.
Have you thought about:
- The age at which you would like to retire?
- The amount of money you will need to support your intended lifestyle?
- How much you will have to live on in retirement?
- What you are going to do with all that free time?
- How you are going to keep fit and healthy?
If NOT you may not experience the retirement you want or expect!
Many people are unable to work until State Pension age owing to poor health, redundancy or caring responsibilities but are unaware of how to make the most of their money. Others will continue to work full or part-time beyond retirement age either through choice or necessity.
Age UK Lancashire has joined forces with Cumberland Building Society and carefully selected local legal, financial and health professionals to provide Free “Planning for Your Retirement” workshops. Currently delivered as lunchtime workshops over Zoom the aim is to give individuals as much information as possible to plan for a great “re-tirement.”
This workshop will cover the following key aspects of managing your time in retirement:
- Managing the transition to retirement
- Using your time in retirement
- Opportunities and challenges
- Making an Action Plan
