About this event

Who is this for: for primary and secondary teachers who have a role in developing curriculum for the phase and/or subject area

Programme aim: To support teachers and school leaders to effectively develop their subject curriculum using the best available evidence.

This will include exploring: the sequencing and development of knowledge, a range of cognitive and metacognitive strategies to support learning and the effective use of assessment. Participants will be supported to confidently develop and implement their subject curriculum using evidence summaries from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and other reliable sources of evidence.

Dates: Tues 28th Sept, Wed 13th Oct, Tues 9th Nov and Mon 6th Dec.

Facilitators:

Jane Elsworth - Deputy Headteacher, Huntington School and Director of Huntington Research School

Jane is an experienced secondary phase senior leader and teacher of Geography, with a wide range of experience in supporting schools to use evidence across Yorkshire. She has been involved in the Research School Network since its inception in 2016 and has been Director of Huntington Research School for the last two years.

Rob Newton: Associate Strategic Director - Primary and Early Years

Rob is an experienced primary phase senior leader, local authority advisor and more recently Acting Headteacher at a small community infant and nursery school.
