What Will The Workshop Cover?
This workshop is open to those who attend the Survey Design workshop on the 12th of October. We will go through specific survey questions or challenges that participants bring to the workshop. Practical recommendations will be provided alongside summaries of the relevant principles involved in those recommendations. This ½ day workshop includes less than 15 participants, and will not include any pre-prepared presentations.
Experienced evaluators from the Denver Evaluation Network will support this workshop further.
Participation is encouraged for this workshop. You are invited to bring your own practical challenges to discuss and find solutions, so you can receive feedback and advice from the workshop facilitators.Readings will be provided to registered participants electronically in advance of the workshop.
Who Is Running The Workshop?
World-leading expert in evaluation of informal learning and public engagement experiences.
Dr Eric Jensen (Associate Professor, Dept. of Sociology, University of Warwick) is a leading social scientist specializing in innovative methods of conducting impact evaluation research and the use of the latest technologies in social research.
He has numerous publications in interdisciplinary top journals such as Public Understanding of Science. He is author of the forthcoming book research methods book: Doing Real Research (SAGE) and From Conservation Education to Public Engagement (Cambridge University Press).
Dr. Jensen holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cambridge (UK). He teaches quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods social research. He has led a number of groundbreaking projects on new social research technologies, funded by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (Nesta) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
