Event description

Description

Why has Echinacea come to such prominence as a herbal medicine?

Why are its beautiful flowers so extraordinary?

Spend a rewarding day in a small friendly group getting to know Echinacea. We will follow a process that invites the plant into dialogue to reveal its gesture to us.

On this workshop you will:

• Follow the development of a living plant from seed to seed
• Get a sense of how its leaves change as the plant approaches flowering
• Study the flowering and fruiting processes
• Use all your senses to help you to discover the personality and gesture of Echinacea

You will need to bring a packed lunch and a lightweight folding chair.

We may need to change the plant that we study due to the vagaries of the growing season.

Michael Bate was head gardener at Weleda UK for 31 years. He qualified in 2018 as a Goethean scientist, specialising in plant study. He is passionate about connecting people and plants in this unique way.
