Event description

Description

This is an exciting 2 day weekend course offering an introduction to Plaster, a highly versatile material often used by sculptors.

Plaster is a reasonably cheap and convenient material to use within the studio. It is a fast setting material which is often used within casting, mould-making and construction.

The course will start with demonstrations on simple waste-moulds and building around wooden armatures.

Students will then be encouraged to explore and experiment with the processes shown and the materials available.

Open to all levels including beginners.

It is essential to wear old clothes and strong footwear.
