What: Half day plastic-smithing workshop from 10.00 to 13.00 with a mid-morning break for a cuppa!

Content: An enjoyable morning of using recycled plastics to create colourful, bright jewellery.

Use silversmithing techniques to pierce and connect recycled plastics to create vibrant and fun jewellery pieces such as brooches and earrings.

Level: This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, you will be given guidance all the way through from the initial design, to making and finishing.

The Studio: The Studio has a maximum of 5 participants, so that the classes are small, friendly and supportive. The studio is fully equipped, with each of the 5 individual workbenches having the tools necessary for each task and with additional larger working areas.

Your tutor: Rachael is an established maker and illustrator with a PGCert in Creative Education and has taught in a University setting for over 25 years, specialising in 3D Art & Design including contemporary craft and jewellery. She is keen to help others tap into their creativity and set up their own rewarding jewellery practice.

Where: Form and Findings Studio is Studio 4, in the Stables at Coda.There is easy parking on site with disabled spaces and access if required.

Refreshments: The onsite Bramble Hill cafe will be re-opening in September. The studio will provide tea and coffee during the morning break.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring and what should I wear?

Please wear close toed shoes. Please wear clothes that you are happy to get dirty (aprons are provided). Please have something to tie your hair back if necessary. Please bring your glasses! I have spares though just in case!

What time shall I arrive?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the session so that we can start on time

Is there on site parking and disabled parking?

Yes there is ample parking on site, including disabled parking.

Is there a cafe?

The on site Bramble Hill cafe will re-open in September. The studio will provide tea and coffee during the morning and afternoon break
