These stakeholder workshops are an important part of the Plastics Packaging Portals (PPP) Project. We need input on the data standard we are creating for plastic packaging so we need to speak to stakeholders from across the plastic packaging value chain.

You might be from:

a manufacturer / producer
a retailer
a brand
a local authority
a compliance scheme
a materials reprocessor or recycler
a waste management company

This series of workshops follows our first round of workshops (October and November 2021) and our second round of workshops in February 2022.

In these workshops we will be sharing the Beta version of the plastic packaging data standard ahead of . It is really important that we continue to hear from you so that what we develop is as useful and usable as possible for everyone in the packaging ecosystem.

The PPP Project is funded by Innovate UK and is a collaborative project led by OPRL with Open Data Manchester, Dsposal, RECOUP and Ecosurety. The project will:

develop an open standard for plastic packaging data
extend the Open3R household waste recycling centre data standard
develop online portals to streamline the collection of these two datasets enable them to be linked and improve access to this data for all along the plastic packaging value chain.

Workshops have a limited number of participants to allow for good discussion.
