Platforms & Public Service Media - Dialogues@ YMCN & IAPMR
Event Information
About this Event
The new Youth, Media & Culture Network is presenting a Dialogues@ Series in collaboration with the International Association of Public Media Researchers. The three linked seminars will discuss how Public Service Media (PSM) could involve and orientate to young Generation Z (12-16 year olds). This is becoming increasingly urgent for Public Service Media and their creative partners. Dialogue One, 'Platforms and Public Service Media', offers an opportunity to hear from doctoral researchers and others on the potential digital platforms such as Twitch and the lure of eSports.
Dialogue Two will present work from prominent scholars on the potential of Positive Psychology to create Eudaimonic Media (media in the public good). Dialogue Three will look at potential methods for drawing together young people with producers for co-concepting, co-creation and shared governance frameworks.
