Play and Resilience

This training session will look at play in relation to Adverse Childhood Experiences and its potential to be a protective factor for children. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the opportunities that play can provide children in developing and strengthening their resilience. The session will touch on play theory whilst also exploring the important role of the adult and the environment in working with and supporting children. This course is made up of a presentation, group discussions and practical, hands-on experiences.

*This training supports the implementation of the Midlothian Play Strategy 2017-2019 Action Plan – supporting Theme 1: Play Aware, Theme 3: Play and Learn and Theme 5: Play for All*
