About this event

Sun and Clay

Before watches and smart phones we relied on the Sun to tell the time.

Craft a sun dial from clay and decorate it with beautiful colour slips to discover how people once told the time using sunlight. In this hands-on activity day, you'll also explore the magic of sun prints! Using light-sensitive paper, you’ll create stunning prints with leaves and other natural materials.

Sun dials will be fired and glazed, they will be available for collection a minimum of 5 weeks after the event.

Booking required.

£6.50 per child.
