LightStart presents... The Entrepreneurial Gameshow!!

Welcome to Play Your Business Cards Right, the game where three teams of Entrepreneurs truly have their skills tested.

Play as your real (or fantasy) start-up, where each round represents a year in the life of your business... In front of a panel of high profile judges, you're given randomly selected business scenarios, and have just two minutes to formulate the best response you can.

Our judges - local business legends - rate the team responses, and give valuable advice and feedback on how they would have approached the situation.  The business with the best response had a good year and goes up, the second best stays flat, and the third... well, there's nothing below ground level.  It's as simple as that.

Come along and see entrepreneurs put through their paces in a proper gameshow setting - learn how they respond to different real-world business situations... and gain absolutely invaluable advice from our team of judges.

Our Three Judges

Stuart Clarke -  Festival Director and co-founder of the Leeds Digital Festival, which is back with a bang on 24th-28th of April this year. 2016 saw 56 events with over 6,000 attendees, and 2017 is set to be even bigger.

After 20 years marketing experience with international companies, Stuart now runs his own marketing consultancy and is also a director and co-founder of Media Yorkshire, and a non-executive director and adviser for a number of startups, including JigTalk and Synap.

Carolyn PearsonCEO and Founder of Maiden Voyage. Carolyn has spent more than 20 years working for leading brands such as ITV, Sony Music, KLM, the BBC and EasyJet. Carolyn left her corporate career to launch Maiden Voyage in 2008, an organisation that provides duty of care support and global networking opportunities to the female business traveller.

For her work on Maiden Voyage Carolyn has won numerous awards and is a regular speaker on the international speaker circuit.

Dan Rajkumar - CEO and Founder of Rebuilding Society and Web Translations.

Daniel is passionate about providing transparent funding solutions to businesses and investors who have been let down by the banks.

His own frustrating experience of applying for funding through traditional channels convinced him that he could start and establish a credible facilitator of business loans funded by individuals, resulting in rebuildingsociety.com.

A serial entrepreneur, Daniel is on the board of several web-based businesses.
