Event description

Description

To celebrate LGBT History month, performer, writer, historian and Equity LGBT+ Committee member Rose Collis will present an illustrated talk on the lesbian, gay and bisexual founding members of the union - including Ivor Novello, John Gielgud and the union’s first female President Beatrix Lehmann - and their friends.

After an introducer by performer, writer, presenter and London Night Czar Amy Lamé, Rose will share stories and pictures of these major stage stars and their creative cohort.

Rose will speak at Equity HQ on 28 February. All are welcome: members and non-members are invited to come to this free event and learn more about Equity's founders and the Tavistock set.

There will be wine and snacks on the night.
