A hands-on robotics workshop for families with children aged 5 - 16

Join Digital Futures Cornwall and Cognition Creative Learning CIC for a fun, family-friendly workshop where LEGO robots, creativity, and tech challenges open the door to some of life’s trickier digital conversations.

Designed for children aged 5 - 16 and their grown-ups, Playful Conversations invites families to build, play, code and create together — while gently exploring important topics like online safety, cyberbullying, AI, digital consent, and privacy in a way that feels natural, age-appropriate, and even fun.

  • Build and design LEGO robots
  • Complete digital missions and seriously fun challenges together
  • Chat about what’s safe to share online, and what’s not
  • Explore AI, the pros, cons and weird hands!
  • Roleplay, invent, and challenge each other to think like digital detectives

Whether you're raising a curious 5-year-old or navigating the teen years, this workshop is about connecting families through play, empowering digital confidence, and starting the kinds of conversations that can be hard to have at home.

Perfect for tech-loving families, no coding experience needed!

There are 2 time slots (10am to 12pm OR 1pm to 3pm) to choose from when purchasing tickets, both timeslots include two 2hr workshops that you can choose between on the day.
