Southampton's brand new night, PLAYLIST, comes to the fantastic Butcher's Hook Alehouse in Bitterne Park for another night of high quality music making.
In February 2016 our headline act, harpist Olivia Jageurs, promised composers she would video record any notated music they had composed and post it online by 5pm the next day. The only caveat, it could only be 15 seconds long - and so 15 second harp was born! Fastforward and by the end of 2016 she will have recorded more than 250 of these miniature works. Olivia's solo set will feature many of these new compositions, which she will perform live for the first time at PLAYLIST.
Also on the bill are the fabulous The Manusa Project, a trio of musicians fronted by gypsy swing guitarist Pete Sheppard backed up by Chris White on rhythm guitar and Bastien Terraz on double bass. Last but not least Alison Hughes will perform a short programme of solo clarinet music including Stravinsky's 'Three Pieces for Clarinet'.
The Butcher's Hook Alehouse is pretty small so limited availability. Book to avoid disappointment!
