Organised by

It Takes a Village Plymouth CIC is powered by a small group of mums, social entrepreneurs, educators, and community builders. We believe that it really DOES take a village to raise a child and we want to help ensure that families in our community have that village around them.

We are creating a Sustainable Family Support & STEAM Discovery Village, where families can connect through STEAM activities & workshops, access support, clothing, books and items they need.

It is estimated that 1 in 5 children in Plymouth live in poverty. We work with families in areas of multiple deprivation, who are under-represented in science, technology, engineering, art & maths (STEAM) fields, enabling them to access great STEAM experiences and foster a love for learning and exploration.

We believe that looking after our families AND our planet shouldn't cost the Earth. So we also work with our community to help tackle both the Cost of Living Crisis AND the Climate Crisis - finding practical ways to live affordably and more sustainably. This includes regular second-hand clothes swaps and shops, practical and fun workshops offering simple and affordable ways to reuse, recycle, repurpose, repair and share.

Come and join our village!
