Description

The plodders are very pleased to announce that we will be soon delivering our 5-10km program. The plan is designed to take ladies who can currently run 5km, and gradually advance to being able to run 10km. We will meet on a weekly basis and work our way through a 10 week program. Each week you will complete a run with a qualified run leader and you will be expected to complete 2 to 3 homework runs and cross training on your own during the week. Graduation is the week before the Great Manchester Run allowing for a rest week beforehand for anyone who is entered in this event.

The Wed night group will meet 7pm alongside the normal plodders group starting on 7th March 2018 finishing 9th May 2018

The Sat group will meet at 11am Heaton Park starting on 17th March 2018 finishing 19th May 2018 for those not running in the Manchester Run or at the Manchester Run for those taking part.

Please note that you will be running on roads and pavements so high viz and reflective clothing is a necessity. Places on the program are strictly limited to 15 participants for insurance reasons. The plodders would ask anyone taking one of these places to ensure that they are available for as much of the 10 week program as possible. The course follows a structured program and if sessions are missed this can not only impact the individual but the group as a whole.
