'Plot Twists' Creative Writing Workshop - South Bank, London SE1
Overview
Plot twists are electric, injecting huge energy and those peak emotional moments that will leave our reader’s breathless, shuddered and absolutely gripped! And as readers ourselves, we know the importance and necessity of delivering such moments to keep us on the edge of our seats and utterly immersed in the story. And as the writer/creator, we must also ensure our plots do not become predictable.
And so - enter the huge power and potential of plot twists!
But how do we create them? If they don’t simply drop into our laps, so to speak, how do we come up with them?
Enter this workshop - designed to give you solid techniques and exercises to produce those very moments. Via comprehensive worksheets, we will discuss the theory and practice the techniques via writing exercises, providing you with sound structures to apply to your own characters, plots and scenarios.
And these writing exercises make us think outside the circle and consider left-field angles to make both us - the writer/creator and our reader - rock!
Held in the iconic National Theatre on London’s wonderful South Bank, this fun, inspiring and engaging workshop is ideal for writers wishing to sharpen their story structure and plotting skills. Beginners too will hugely-benefit from an introduction to this key aspect of plot construction.
