Plug it Up - Ann Rosen Performance
Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Theatre in the Mill! Join us for a special performance by Ann Rosen. This in-person event will showcase "Pencil Barriers" is a series of works that have the conductive ability and inherent resistance of a pencil in general. The development of the first pencil barrier module, instrument, and composition tool "Pencil Barrier/Graphite Barrier" took off during a residency at HIAP in Finland in 2017 and resulted in the video and sound work "Gården Soumenlinna" shown in the exhibition. With the Pencil Barrier instrument, you can draw sounds, compose and play at the same time. Every concert, rehearsal, and recording becomes a new drawing and a score that can be interpreted and generate new work.
