Plymouth After Dark: Sounds of the Sixties
Fri 12 May 2017, 18:30 – 23:30 BST
Come along to a very special night out dedicated to the 1960s.
Hear popular local historian Chris Robinson deliver a bespoke ‘Going Out in 60’s Plymouth’ talk, then enjoy a two hour music set from top tribute band 'The Revolvers'.
You can also tell us your experiences of nights out in Plymouth during the decade. Where did you go? What did you do? Bring along any memorabilia you may have kept over the years for us to take a look at. Did you keep any gig tickets or special outfits for example that you'd like to share?
This will be a fun and entertaining evening and we're encouraging people to enter into the spirit of the event with us and dress up for the occasion. There will even be a prize for best outfit.
Book your tickets now!
'Sounds of the Sixties' is part of the History Centre’s 'Plymouth After Dark' project - an exciting four year outreach programme exploring the range of activities that take place across the city at night. 'Plymouth After Dark' aims to capture peoples' stories, collect objects to add to our collections and provide a series of public events. It will culminate in a public exhibition at the History Centre after it opens in 2020.
