This course is aimed at beginners who want to learn the core principles of graphic design. You will engage with a series of practical workshops enabling you to understand design basics such as line, shape, form, colour, pattern and typography. Week by week you will be introduced to a new principle and will be given the opportunity for excise and experimentation. The classes will feature talks, practical exercises and ’design gyms’ which allow you to flex your creative muscles. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere you will learn some of the necessary skills required to create beautiful pieces of graphic design. During sessions you will be encouraged to develop ideas organically through problem solving exercises encompassing digital and traditional techniques.
