Plymouth College of Art - Indigo and Shibori Dyeing Processes (August 2017)
Wed 23 August 2017, 10:00 – 14:00 BST
Come along for an introduction to the Japanese art of Shibori and dye with the distinctive blue of indigo.
This is an opportunity to experiment and try out a number of folding and tying techniques on natural fabrics during the workshop.
There will be materials here for you to make samples with or this could be a chance to breath new life into your old white damask tablecloth, cotton or linen sheet - if you have these at home they could become a bigger project. Some preparation before the workshop is a good idea for more intricate folding but there will be time on the day to try a number of methods.
