Plymouth History Festival - Royal William Yard Walk
Fri 26 May 2017, 17:30 – 19:00 BST
Join Walks with History on a walk through East Stonehouse and the historic Royal William Yard. Our walk which will take 90 minutes will look at the history of the yard and the surrounding area. Look out for historic buildings, gun emplacements, views of Plymouth Sound and stand where Charles Darwin departed from Plymouth on the voyage which led to his writing "On the Origin of Species".
Meet by the entrace to the yard at 5.15pm for an 5.30pm start.
Plymouth Citybus service 34/34A serves the adjacent bus stop. There is free parking at the nearby Devil's Point Car Park and paid parking is available inside the Royal William Yard. Please consider walking or taking the bus to this walk as free parking spaces in this part of the city can be hard to find.
