New name, new location… same essential conference

Previously known as Pocket Gamer Connects Jordan, PGC Aqaba arrives packed with our trademark short, sharp seminars and panels.

Aqaba is strategically located at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia to be the gateway for digital transformation in MENA.

And our conference is the place to get games industry business done.

Discover and directly connect with the domestic digital landscape, absorb key trends, boost your network, and immerse yourself in both the regional and international games sector.

Across 10 packed conference tracks, our international speakers will share their insight on everything from studio basics to user acquisition, esports to investment knowhow, dev case studies to disruptive technologies, and beyond.

But that's just the track programme…

Supporting indie developers

Small, independent developers are the lifeblood of the games industry and PG Connects champions their work. Are you part of a student team or a new studio just starting out? Are you part of the Jordan Gaming Lab? You are welcome here. The show floor has a dedicated expo area for established studios and newcomers alike to display their talent to a regional and international industry audience. This is a vibrant and varied expo area for publishers looking to sign promising titles.

And, of course, our hugely popular Very Big Indie Pitch will be back with indie devs competing to impress a panel of expert judges. The winners walk away with prizes and online marketing opportunities, as well as useful feedback. We have run this pitching competition many times in Jordan – you can read about the 2024 edition here!

Developers: meet publishers and investors

As always, there will be fringe activities in side rooms to help with the networking. We know it can be daunting to work out who to connect with. So we have a few privately curated activities where we will hand-pick people for you to meet. Spaces are limited so you must apply in advance (links at pgconnects.com/aqaba).

Our Connector SpeedMatch session pairs developers in rapid succession with publishers and investors in a series of speed meetings. These short, sharp encounters enable first contact for you to follow up with a longer meeting if you find a potential partner. It’s a shop window for devs to display their wares and a pipeline of prospects for anyone looking to sign up-and-coming talent.

Established international audience

More than 64,000 industry professionals have attended the Connects international conference series since 2014. Since then, the roadshow has landed in the UK, the USA, Canada, Finland, India, Hong Kong, Dubai, Spain, and China with a genuinely international client base; on average, delegates from more than 45 countries attend each event.

In 2016, we became the biggest dedicated mobile games industry conference series in Europe and have stayed on top ever since. We've evolved beyond mobile, too, with a focus on PC, console, HTML5, web3, and more.

Every event has been bigger and better than the last.

Not only have our previous delegates voted Connects the 'best value conference', but 97% would recommend it to a colleague, and 96% tell us they’ll come back for more.

Previous speakers and delegates from all the key industry players include Supercell, King, Space Ape Games, Niantic, SYBO, Tencent, Mythical Games, Unity, Jam City, Skybound, Apple, Rovio, Disney, Super Evil Megacorp, Wargaming, Kabam, NetEase, NTT Docomo, Ubisoft, Facebook, Google, Square Enix, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Sega, Capcom, Twitter, Snapchat, Twitch, NaturalMotion, N3TWORK and many, many, many more.

Networking for all

Our events are called Connects because that’s what we help you do; connect with the whole gaming industry, from students and indie studios to the media, international investors and publishers.

Unlike other conferences, we offer our MeetToMatch meeting platform free and unlimited to all professional delegates, so you can find that perfect contact and arrange to connect with them in person.

No other event puts you in touch with the entire gaming industry like our PG Connects conferences. All are welcome, and all attend – from first-time designers to the CEOs of the biggest companies. On average, about 70% of our attendees are game makers with the other 30% being a mix of tool providers, investors, ad services, platform holders, and other parts of the ecosystem.
