Overview

Online poetry workshops designed to make you think, bring you joy, make you a better reader and writer AND fit in with your busy schedule.

I've designed a series of short, accessible and enjoyable online poetry workshops which are designed to highlight the way poems can elevate our daily experience. The sessions will include both reading and writing prompts. You don't have to be published or even consider yourself a poet to take part.

Each session is structured around a theme. These include:

Poems that fly (Friday 20th Feb, 12 noon - 1pm)

Poems that dance... (Friday 20th Feb, 5pm - 6pm)

Poems that swim.... (Saturday 21st Feb, 12 noon - 1pm)

Poems that climb.... (Friday 27th Feb, 5pm - 6pm)

Poems that move.... (Sunday 1st March, 12pm - 1pm)

The sessions will last 1 hour on Zoom. All materials will be provided in the workshop.

You can book for multiple sessions or just attend one.

I'm an award-winning poet and author of three collections published by Chatto & Windus. I've been teaching poetry for 20 years and I'm a Professor of Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
