About this event

Arts • Literary Arts

Being mixed can be exhausting and hard. It can also offer us joy, community and shared experiences of fun. During this two-hour writing session we'll look at how poetry can be used as a tool for play and joy, as well as to express community and identity in a low-stakes and non-pressured environment.

We'll play a poetry game or two, read and write communally and finally work together to write individual poems on any and all subjects.

Suitable for absolute beginners to poetry.

All materials provided, plus yummy veggie/vegan food! Just bring yourselves :)

This event is for people (18+) identifying as mixed race, bi-racial, multi-racial only.

Venue Accessibility

Many Studios is located at 3 Ross Street, round the corner from Thompson’s coffee shop, which is on Gallowgate.

Access to the building is via the bright yellow front door, which is step free and 82cm wide. There is a shallow incline as you enter. The door may be closed when you arrive, in which case just ring the buzzer and someone will come let you in :)

This potluck will be hosted in the Events Space. The back of the room leads out to an accessible toilet, and gender neutral toilets.
